10 - 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
11 - 1 small garlic clove, minced
12 - 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
13 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
14 - Salt and pepper to taste

→ Vegetables and Wraps

15 - 1 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
16 - 1 cup tomato, diced or sliced
17 - 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced (optional)
18 - 4 soft pita breads

# How-To:

01 - In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add chicken strips and toss until evenly coated. Allow to marinate for at least 10 minutes at room temperature.
02 - While chicken marinates, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, fresh dill, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl. Mix until smooth and creamy. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
03 - Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook marinated chicken strips for 3 to 4 minutes per side until cooked through with light charring. Transfer to a plate.
04 - Heat pita breads in a dry pan over medium heat or microwave for 20 to 30 seconds until soft and pliable.
05 - Spread a generous spoonful of tzatziki sauce on each warmed pita. Layer with grilled chicken strips, sliced cucumber, diced tomato, and red onion if desired.
06 - Fold or roll each pita to enclose filling completely. Serve immediately while still warm.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It feels like a restaurant meal but uses ingredients you probably already have in your fridge.
  • The tzatziki doubles as a dip, a salad dressing, or a midnight snack with crackers.
  • You can prep the chicken and sauce ahead, then assemble wraps in under five minutes when hunger strikes.
  • Its one of those rare dishes that tastes just as good at room temperature, making it perfect for lunch boxes or picnics.
02 -
  • If you skip squeezing the grated cucumber dry, your tzatziki will separate and turn watery within minutes, ruining the texture.
  • Dont overcrowd the pan when grilling chicken, if the strips touch too much, theyll steam instead of getting that beautiful caramelized crust.
  • Warm pitas are non negotiable, cold pita tears when you fold it and doesnt hug the filling the way it should.
03 -
  • Let the chicken rest for a minute after grilling so the juices redistribute, slicing it too soon will make it dry.
  • If your pitas keep tearing, try lightly brushing them with olive oil before warming, it makes them more pliable.
  • For meal prep, store the components separately and assemble wraps fresh each day so nothing gets soggy.
